TALL... and THIN??? I've had 2 of them, PAINFUL! I'm SURE that you know this- but,there is a complication-to where it can go into a "TENSION" pneumothorax- and the upper Left lung can shift into the heart, causing it to not back-fill ... TENSION PNEUMOTHORAX is a LIFE-THREATENING CONDITION! A Paramedic can decompress the lung by inserting 4 filtered needles 3into the apex of the 5th intercostal space of Left lung. ( Share THAT with someone who calls a Paramedic an "AMBULANCE DRIVER"!)😆 I had a patient who had his THIRTEENTH one! He was 6'4" and 140lbs!
