@zoe_baker_09: Our kids decided they wanted to swap rooms 😮‍💨 We said yes. But there was one condition... They had to do it themselves. 😂 What started with simply swapping their clothes drawers soon turned into moving the vanity, shelves, belongings and basically everything except their beds. It took 4 days and nights between fluffing around, changing their minds about where things should go and actually getting the job done! And honestly, there was a reason we made them do the hard work. Because if WE spent days swapping everything around and then a week later heard... "Actually, I want my old room back..." I don't think we'd be quite as enthusiastic the second time 😒 If THEY did all the work and decided they wanted to swap back? Well then they already know exactly how much work is involved, and they'll be doing it all over again 🤷🏼‍♀️ But they stuck with it, figured out where they wanted everything, worked together and now they're both absolutely loving their "new" rooms. Sometimes saying yes doesn't mean doing it for them.
