I used to treat my husband like gold, now I treat him the way he treats me. I don’t cry anymore when he upsets me, I don’t ask him to do anything, I don’t give him love and now I’m choosing not to really speak to him. He’s broke my heart, I’ve patched it up myself, and I’m going to work hard for the foreseeable to better my life for me and my little boy and move on.

I fucking hate having to be the strong one all the time. I just want someone to take care of me for once. I hate having to bare all the responsibilities all the time. You ask for help and end up having to do it anyway. It’s so exhausting. It’s such a mental fuck. It’s hard to take care of yourself and everyone around you. It’s so lonely.

Why is this the reality of so many women? This needs to be studied. What has happened in our society? Was it always like that? Now we are independent women so we can actually leave them… Ladies is the damage reversible? Like can we trust someone else after getting out of a relationship like this?

I’m living this right now. We started so perfect. Then slowly I realized we now do only what he wants, when he wants. I haven’t held the tv remote in over a year unless he isn’t home. I quit explaining my feelings because it instantly made him angry and he would deny and attack me. Every terrible name a man can call a woman. I started pulling away quietly. He thought I was getting back in line. Then he realized how distant I had become and got angry about the decrease in our sex life. His ego became crushed so at two in the morning he woke me up and threw me out of the house with nothing. I had lost my job and he knew I had no money and nowhere to go and that this would wake me up so I’d start behaving. I just left quietly with no fighting, no yelling. It’s kills him when he says, we’re not getting back together and I just say I understand. He so angry when I see him now. I was deeply in love with him but I had already realized I won’t live this way anymore. He definitely left me no choice.
