All of the avengers stuff was stalling and marketing because they didn’t have their most valuable IP—X-men. It made sense to have sagas and phases for those things because they would never be able to tell a full story without Mutants. Now, we need the real MCU, what it was meant to be from the beginning that they couldn’t do before. Their biggest mistake is calling this the Mutant Saga as if it has a beginning and end. Mutants will always be relevant, so calling this a Mutant Saga and not MCU (but for real this time) is not a good sign imo.

I don’t think the MCU will ever get back to its peak, and doomsday is going to be a shit show but I’m excited to see the XMEN in this universe and this casting is great

the adam driver take is funny because i personally never found him to be a "john wayne" hyper masculine guy at all, especially not as kylo ren. Kylo was very petulant, angsty, and whiny, rather than stoic or serious to me, but idk

I think Adam driver has the range to play diva Mr Sinister! He’s not afraid to ham up his performances and I reckon he’ll be able to tap into the more Kieron Gillen version of Mr Sinister

it's still crazy to me that they just never recast Kang after Majors. While I didn't really care for the Kang character, they were at least building him up to be interesting instead of just pulling Doom out of "nowhere" (I know there was the post scene of F4). I'm interested how they handle it, but not much beyond that.

They said more casting is on the way so that’s not the complete XMen team, I expect we will get the original team with Beast, Iceman and Angel. Don’t worry about the Fox XMen, they are gone after Secret Wars.
