To cool Ledger off in this heat do you have little mini toys like dinosaurs or anything like that? Recipe -fill ice cube trays halfway place dinos or any small toys into water fill rest of tray up put in freezer overnight for best results. Take cubes out place them in plastic container and let kiddos explore see if they can melt the dinos out of the cube. Its so fun and cools them off! Plus its great imaginary play. Another idea is putting water and food coloring (very lightly with food coloring) to give it a pop of color in the cubes again freeze over night. Have finger paint paper ready and Ledger can draw/paint with ice!! You can do this with dinos also as he can play with them afterwards. It keeps pre-schoolers so entertained for a while. *former preschool teacher*

One really fun thing is salty dough, which dries out at room temperature or in the sun; you can then draw on it with paints or pens.
A glass of flour, a glass of salt and a glass of water – equal quantities of each

My toddler loves to play with “oobleck”. She will be entertained for almost an hour. Just cornstarch and water. Can add food coloring for fun colors 😁

use a few drops of washable paint instead of food coloring to color the dough. then it won't stain hands 🥰
