As hairstylist for 26 years perms are chemistry of the body too. If you’ve been put to sleep for a surgery, you cannot have a perm within 2 to 3 months !

I’m so happy that Alfredo is helping but if he throws thousands of ktips and extensions in and sends her home, it took her 6 yrs to save $200 and I’m not hating on that it’s real life 💩! How’s she going to upkeep that?!

Serious question, I’m not attacking thr person. At what point is it also the consumers responsibility to research and understand what they are asking to be done? She said she went to cosmetology school and seemed to know the process. Even with a little bit of knowledge, how did she think this was a good idea? Genuinely curious! (And have we heard why the stylist who did it thought it was a good idea??)

I just want to know why she wanted a perm when she would have to upkeep it and continue spending hundreds of dollars. Once it grows out, she’ll have to get another perm to maintain the look.

When I was a baby stylist I did heavy highlights (w/peekaboo hint at the year) on a girl that didn’t tell me she’d had a perm 2 weeks before. She kept it straightened. I didn’t do a strand test. Her hair split apart in the shampoo bowl and turned to goo. THANK GOD there was no social media. I’m assuming it was a young stylist, mistakes are made, now the entire internet is talking about a single head.

I'm trying to figure out something. She said it took her like 6 years to save up for a $200 service. I get it, she's a mom and life gets in the way but mathematically, that's 3 bucks a month. That's all fine and dandy for a one time service, but she is receiving EXTENSIONS from A. Where is the financials for the upkeep coming from? Or are these gonna go wayward from grow out and she loses her hair integrity even more then loses her absolute mind from the final result. It just doesn't make sense to me for her to do all that, ruin her hair even more, and then what..someone is offering a free wig install? My discernment says this is bad news

What concerns me is that the owner of the shop didn’t really take accountability until she saw the backlash, that girl was a new hair stylist maybe her attitude wasn’t the best but if you hire someone new you know that you have to take responsibility for the mistakes they make, and firing her knowing that basically all the TikTok backlash is going to hurt her career and probably be traumatize her in this career, the owner was trying to ignore the situation until she saw the reviews and fake booking, this was a way to teach a new stylist how to handle a situation because we all been there, we’ve all mess someone hair up it just wasn’t shown in TikTok and gone viral, and now to have her career destroyed because the owner didn’t take action earlier is just crazy for me

I find it lowkey predatory of stylists trying to gain clout from the situation. More along the lines of providing an unmanageable outcome. But then again, we don’t know what he plans to do. Hopefully she can maintain it at home

It’s like when your nail breaks, you have to cut your losses and trim it. The only “repair” that can be done is visual, you can’t un-break your nails or hair.

Clip ins or those halo extensions with a choppy mullet wolf cut is the best option for her to keep some length and be able to manage it the best I feel. I feel like k tips are just gonna destroy it even more and be way too expensive upkeep

The way she explained it, she told the stylist she had coloured her hair once with black box dye a few months ago when in reality is was years and years. I feel like she has some blame too for not disclosing that.
