@andrewpotterproperty: I purchased this run down 3 bed bungalow 7 months ago for £320,000. I was spending £130,000 on the refurb extending the back into open plan kitchen/living area. Then creating 4 double bedrooms. The corner plot is massive it just needs a bit of a layout change and once cleared it will make an incredible outside space A property on this road has just sold for £700,000 which is the most expensive to sell. When I negotiated the purchase the owner was moving into a flat and I advised he could take as long as he needed to move as I wasn’t in any rush. After 3/4 months of waiting on the purchase the agents advised the seller they had another buyer and convinced the sellers to swap. Corporate agents do this a lot when buyers are using in house mortgage services to add more commission instead of advising what is best for the seller. If you were selling and agreed a sale would you swap buyers later down the line or stick with the agreement made? They’re still on the market now so 4/5 months later it’s still not complete. Follow me to watch me transform bungalows like this that nobody wanted into the best in the street.
