@tackle2thepeople: Most squid caught in the US is frozen, sent to China, thawed, cleaned, frozen again, and then shipped back to the US where it’s finally thawed and sold as “cleaned squid”. If you want to taste truly fresh squid, buy it whole, fresh, and local! The good news is, squid is abundant in MA in the summer and it’s super freaking easy to clean at home.
