I’m the reverse, I’m a photographer + art director who recently graduated with a BA in photography. Ive been wanting a job in marketing so bad but I’m not sure if these agencies are taking me seriously. I know how to use photoshop, capture one, figma, canva etc but it’s hard finding entry level positions. Would appreciate any advice anyone has!!💛🌟

What about using AI to build websites? Using AI for video production (advertisement). I can use Claude to do the first and Seedance + Midjourney to create the latter. I’m decent with Elementor manually, but not the best. I’m not too good at canva. I can run Google ads as well as do SEO. I’m currently a SEO specialist with 4 ish years of experience, and have ranked pages in both LLM’s/overviews and traditional rankings. It’s just hard because my portfolio needs to be updated, and I don’t graduate until next month.

This is why i went to film school/ art school and then just learned marketing admin on my own. Learning the creative process is a discipline and i could not have done that without school
