from what I understand she hasn't even been like diagnosed or came out that she said that she had autism and it's just a speculation that she might have autism. so people are excusing her action and with autism that might or might not exist.

There's a huge difference between accidentally making someone uncomfortable because you didn't pick up on some social cue or other, and just not caring. As an autistic person myself, I've definitely done the former many times in my life, but when I realized it, I backed off immediately and apologized.

People seem to continuously forget that that both good and bad people can be neurologically atypical. And if a person who exhibits bad behaviors coincidentally is an autistic individual that's all it is. A COINCIDENCE! Autistic people are PEOPLE who MAKE DECISIONS and their autism is NOT all they are!!! I NEED PEOPLE TO STOP CONNECTING UNRELATED DOTS!

I think Disney is just as at fault for not allowing characters to break character with adults. they should be allowed voice discomfort or giving a character relevant way to voice it. he's playing Peter pan, Peter Pan is a child in character. allow him to say he doesn't play with adults or stranger danger or sorry I can't take adults to Neverland or say oh no hooks crew with an unsafe adult to alert security or other crew

Honestly I don't even think it's been confirmed that she has autism. It's just like a theory that's been going around. Unless she herself comes out and says that she has autism there is really no way for us to know for sure

autistic here. you right, autism doesn't make you(general usage) a stalker. yeah it's a steeper learning curve on the spectrum, but folks can still learn. babying folks in the spectrum doesn't help.

exactly! some of the autistic ppl ik are also some of the most respectful ppl i've ever seen when it comes to bounderies because they specificly aren't that big on touch and know exactly what it's like to have a boundery be constantly disrespected

Kids need to learn the word "NO" Not "Not right now" "Maybe later" or out right Not answering them. I was shopping for a flower girl dress for my niece at a bridal shop and she wanted to play with the vails and her mother kinda danced over " NO" asked me and I told her "NO! We do not ask another family member then mommy or daddy or both told you cant" Looked at me like i had 3 heads. She use to scowl at me so I guess progress and her parents are doing somthing

A former Peter Pan actor came out to talk about his experience of being harassed by another person. Then he made a video retracting his statement a bit and centering Toni and her feelings more. Yes, she shouldn’t be bullied. But it’s honestly really scary that the conversation went from how do we protect the actors to centering Toni’s feelings. It raises the question of whether he got a C&D from the Mouse or from another organization he works with or has worked with before. And if the conversation keeps being centered on Toni’s feelings, those poor roaming characters are still gonna be left unprotected without any assistants.

Exactly, all of the people in my family who are autistic have been taught a very young age that they need to respect people don't ask intrusive questions and PERSONAL SPACE!
