I just think to myself, if you trust your partner, why do you have to worry about other people? Finally, in this situation, for example, if her friend wants to persuade her husband but he simply says no, leave me alone. Then the problem is completely solved. My best friend (known him since I was 10, he was 8) and his wife met back in 2008. I have been close with both of them forever, and I haven't done more than hug her since the wedding. There is zero reason for it to be at the level she's talking about.
