Island of the Sea Wolves - one of my favourite series I’ve ever worked on. Filmed over one year during the pandemic in 2021, the production involved more than 600 filming days, with up to six small crews working simultaneously in locations across Vancouver Island. What made this project so special was the variety. It wasn’t about following just one species or relying on one style of filmmaking. It brought together so many different animals, environments and filming techniques to tell the story of this incredible region. I’m incredibly proud to have shared a little insight into the wildlife in my own backyard on Vancouver Island. And it’s been genuinely heartwarming to hear how many people the series has reached, and how it’s helped raise awareness for the wildlife we share this environment with.
