@keriannemellott: How to create interactive art! Welcome to Part I of behind-the-scenes of my project called, ”Unblocked” - a custom art installation I made for my home back in 2020! As an artist, I create art that comes off of the canvas, has several different visual perspectives depending on how you’re looking at it, and kinda begs you to reach out and touch it (please, do!). Trying to figure out how to make this piece and accomplish three goals was a challenge. I wanted it: 1. Moveable 2. Textured 3. Repaintable I LOVE options in life, so this concept felt super fun. Stuck in an apartment in downtown LA with no power tools made the first part of this project a huge challenge. However, a trip to Texas over Thanksgiving to hang out with my super smart and can-build-anything brother, got me exactly what I needed! Follow along for the journey of how this piece was made!
