I didn’t realize I was about to embark on a journey that would completely change the way I understood my body, my hormones, my gut, my health and myself. I’ve learned a LOT in these eight years. I’ve learned through experience. Through research. Through trial and error. Through certifications in wellness. Through learning about perimenopause and the things I wish someone had taught me years earlier. I’ve learned how deeply connected our gut, hormones, metabolism, nutrition and overall wellness really are. I’ve written a Perimenopause Plate Cookbook. I’ve created resources. I’ve spent years learning, testing, teaching and helping women connect the dots between what they’re feeling and what their bodies may be trying to tell them. And honestly? Every twist, setback, frustrating symptom and lesson brought me here. To this version of me. The woman who doesn’t just want to tell you to “eat less and exercise more.” The woman who understands what it feels like to look in the mirror and not recognize yourself. The woman who has spent years learning how to support her body differently and now gets to help other women do the same. Eight years later, I can look back and see that what felt like the biggest detour of my life was actually leading me directly to my purpose.
