Like as soon as they summoned the angel of destiny couldn’t she have faked a compliment like “gurlll I love your shawl!!” and touched it to get something. And there was a whole episode in season 2 about her street smarts…

One of the reasons I hate her character. So much potential, but the writing butchered her and her powers. Made zero sense that a CHARMED ONE would be so inactive/useless with powers. Charmed and psychic and she was rarely usefully psychic. Piper blowing stuff up constantly, yet Phoebe’s powers were draining the budget? And premonitions were essentially just additional scenes. Or make her useful in different ways psychically. Baffling that she was charmed and powers evaded her.

Writers didn’t even try ..I can think of a 100 ways to make her almost omniscient in battle while keeping enough loopholes not to overpower her. Premonition could have been so great. Same with empathy: if she can feel emotions, why not eventually influence or control them? Suggest actions because of what they feel. Trigger rage so intense it spikes someone’s heart rate and blood pressure? So much wasted potential.

The last season of charmed Phoebe turned into for all the seasons. Phoebe did not want our powers. She did not put no effort in for him. She did not care about him that much. She didn’t care about being a witch no more Phoebe want to be immortal, she want to live in a regular world. She wanted to do her column. She did not care about that if they could’ve had that battle and knew nobody would’ve died. Phoebe would’ve said fuck that I don’t wanna do it. She can’t really really care what magic after coal because she didn’t care like magic call her so much she left man. I don’t really care we gonna do this anyway like when about it comes it’s gonna come. She got her powers back she was like yippee yippee yippee, and then it was like.

Phoebe is notorious for abusing her premonitions, misinterpreting them and sometimes even outright disregarding them, and even had her powers revoked on a few occasions.

I like to write sometimes and honestly a main character having the ability to see into the future makes writing more challenging lol. I think that is why in the remake the Phoebe version (Maggie) had empathy through touch instead of premonition through touch. With all that being said yes Phoebe often seem to conveniently forget she has the ability to get premonition as the show went on lol.

They can't even blame the power because even the senior said Phoebe's Powers a premonition are way more accurate than her even though she can call them at will. It's just that Phoebe herself did not give it about that power. We see several other people get Phoebe's exactly power and they instantly are able to use a better than her. Phoebe just was not trying.

But if you actually watch the show, they do explain this a little bit. The source was shielded from Phoebe’s premonition only until Kohl’s love overpowered the source is power. The Oracle that the source used couldn’t see pages future or the charmed ones future very clearly. Even the sear which is supposed to be more powerful than the Oracle and on Parr with Phoebe still had difficulties seeing certain futures. So why don’t you understand how the most powerful evil the charmed ones will ever battle could be naturally shielded from her premonitions.

Phoebe’s powers of premonition seemed situational at best the seer and the other lady the white one with premonition powers were way better than phoebe her levitation powers were shoddy why didn’t she just get to fly her power of empathy was ok but inconsistent as well
