I love this fix idea, I had the same problem if I wanna put in a new sink cabinet either go with a small one or a bigger one and I’ll have to do something like this✌

You literally didn’t need to any of that. A simple square hole in the kick plate and a cover would do the same thing.

As a HVAC contractor I would recommend insulation. This has the potential to sweat and could have mold growing in the future. Option 2 if that’s a basement under that floor is to move that vent. Otherwise it looks clean.

This was my solution insulted the whole bottom of the cabinet to essentially make a big register box right,wrong or in different it worked

Ppl are getting mad like there is a law on how to do this 😂😂 As a home inspector, I’ve seen sooooo many contractor mess ups and things actually are way worse. If you think this is a “bad” or “poorly” job, step in my shoes and see what I see. 😅 You will rethink commenting on what this man did with a very small air vent job.
