@.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.: i feel like i can understand what you’re going through in some ways bc i’m going through it as well. i’m helping my parents retire out of the family business but it’s hard. it’s messy, disorganized, and i also do not speak the language of the staff. that part is maybe the hardest because i just feel lonely and exhausted, trying to help but there is a steep learning curve even without the language barrier. i grew up always going to work with them, never ever thinking i would be there myself but i’m trying to do right by my family and help them best i can. i really appreciate you sharing your story and it helps me keep going. you also have a fantastic taste in music. good luck on this journey!! you’re killing it! 🥟👾

With each step the path becomes shorter. No it does not. It leads to a new potential. Keep adding well upgrading. Silver trimmed china may be too much but regional to the food pained plates or bowls can be an upgrade that invites not intimidates.

a clean environment is so much more uplifting! We aren't in the same situation, but my mom grew up with 3 siblings in a tiny wood house, her kitchen wasn't the best growing up, and the one we have was filled with old tables as work spaces, they were literally falling apart. I convinced her to buy one of those metal tables, we got it, I deep cleaned the kitchen, build the table and reorganized the kitchen, she teared up when she saw it. little things matter, I just scrubbed the walls and put up the table, maybe they don't tell you, but im sure they are very happy about it! older generations, specially of immigrants or just people of color, they were never taught they could have/deserve more, I work to get my parents to realize their hard work means better things, surroundings, food, clothes. My mother wore the same shoes for a decade before I convinced her to get new ones, she was angry about it, but she loves them! it's a bit of a struggle, but it's an honor to be the one to show them how much more they deserve <3
