I got stopped at abule egba by police officers to be searched , I obeyed and gave them all the documents they asked for . I was getting all ready to move and he said he wants to search again . So while doing that he saw pepper spray in my safe and he started interrogating me , I answered politely and the next thing is he said was for me to start heading to the station that I’m not suppose to have a pepper spray. That it’s only for officers and I asked him where is it written on the law that civilians don’t have access to the use of pepper spray…. They kept on trying to intimidate me . I would have taken a video of them but I was there alone and didn’t want their brutality. They called their DPO asked them to take my vehicle papers and driving license but I only had photocopies in the car , so it was of no use to them . They left me after I called a friend of mine that’s an officer to come there to meet me but they took my pepper spray with them and also snapped my vehicle plate number saying I’ll regret my actions .#policeharassment #police
