Just a small correction 😊 Fa-Hien Lena (Pahiyangala) has evidence of human occupation dating back to approximately 48,000 years ago, while the fragmentary Homo sapiens remains from the earlier excavations were associated with dates of around 38,000 years ago. Also, 2012 wasn’t the first excavation of the site. It was recorded by Prof. S. U. Deraniyagala in 1968 and systematically excavated by W. H. Wijeyapala in 1986–88, with further excavations carried out from 2009–2012. Such an incredibly important prehistoric site in Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰❤️
