It has its drawbacks… although you can download the incompatible software it more than likely won’t function properly if at all. Also if it’s a slower i5 Dual Core processor with 8gb of RAM it will be slower.

Not everything works. You can have a lot of problems with the Apple Store logging in and out of your account. There’s a host of things that can go wrong. Not recommended. Unless you have a spare hard drive and you install the system on that. I personally would not try it on my internal hard drive or to replace an older system that is supported with a newer system that is not.
