That things are only understood through black and white good v evil narratives when in reality people are complex and the most good people you know have done things for selfish and or accidentally hurtful reasons. The loss of seeing the humanity in the villains of our stories is a net negative on society

Conflict can exist without bad people, and I feel like these comments are just people who dont understand good writing and are going Good/evil = bad writing and Morally gray and evil = good writing Which just isn't true, while the gray area can be interesting, darker subjects dont mean better writing.
