Okay, so I did some math now if we were to start in pointe barrow in Alaska (the furthest northern point in the US) and I know time is frozen in all of that, but let’s just assume the train ride from the perspective of the passengers is the length of the movie 1 hour 40 minutes the polar express at minimum would be having to travel 673 miles an hour. Again this is going from the closest point to the North Pole. The movie starts in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and once again you think the length of the movie for travel time just just to get there the Polar express would have to be moving 1,870 miles per hour, for frame of reference the 71 blackbird the fastest plane ever built goes 2,140 mph

I like to think the Polar Express is like Lady from TATMR. It is alive and has a spirit of its own, but it's been around for considerably longer and the coldness of the north pole made it more like a machine, losing the face but retaining the power within like a possessed mechanical beast.
