Your Will not mine ✝️ ~ Dear God, You answered my prayers and broke my heart in the same breath. I am still not sure how to explain that to anyone. In the season behind me, some things I had waited on for a long time finally happened: things I only prayed about quietly, things I had almost stopped believing would ever come. And in that very same stretch, You asked me to accept some things I did not want to accept: that some people are not coming with me into what is next, that some conversations are probably never going to happen, and that some of what I kept trying so hard to save, You were already giving me permission to release. And maybe that is what You were teaching me all along: that an answered prayer does not always look like receiving something; sometimes it looks like finally being able to let something go. So I am not walking away from that season with everything I wanted, but I am walking away lighter, a little wiser, a little more grateful, and strangely, a little more myself. Because somewhere between what You handed me and what You gently took out of my hands, I understood that both of them were You answering me. Thank You for the yes I was praying for, and thank You, even now, for the removals I never would have chosen. I trust that both were done in Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 143.
