that's not asbestos....that's popcorn ceiling. easy to remove if you spray a little water(water bottle) on it give it like 10-20 seconds n scrap off

People I've been finishing drywall over 30 years. I've removed popcorn in hundreds of houses. I can tell you popcorn never comes off this clean and easy! So don't think you're going to tape a 10 inch knife to a stick and get the same results.

they were designed so painters and sheetrock finishers could suck at their job because it would cover up all the imperfections and unevenness

Don’t forget so many of these ceilings contain asbestos!!! Please check before doing anything.
