Our home was broken into, and it was at 10am..My wife dropped our daughter at school, stopped at the store, and when she came home, she saw a window open and called me to ask why. When I said I didn't ipen it, she heard a noise upstairs. She said I think we are being robbed and HUNG UP THE PHONE!! I called the cops and went home, and she did walk in on them, but they left when seen..The feeling of despair and uneasiness you have for YEARS after a home breaking is crushing. Not feeling safe in your own home is a terrible feeling I wouldn't wish on anybody.

Something that most people don’t realize is very common. A lot of people don’t lock every door and window and they often forget or don’t care to turn on their security system. It doesn’t matter what city or neighborhood you live in. This 💩 can happen anywhere as thieves have cars and Google Maps, too. Be armed. Get a solid alarm system and use it everyday. Cameras covering all of your exterior, not just a doorbell camera. And if it’s in your budget, there is a film that can go over existing glass that makes it difficult to break through the glass to gain entry. You can also turn your primary bedroom or closet into a panic room good enough to keep them out while you wait for police.

I am had a home invasion years ago and it was devastating but I’ll tell you this - once that piece of mind is stripped from you - we become extremely defensive in every way! I’ll always be prepared for anything!!!
