Remember that after pregnancy, you aren't "getting back into shape" you are fully rehabilitating your body. organs, muscles, bones, and your mind. I'm so proud of you!

Guys if you want to stay child free that is so awesome and the choice you want is obvi the best choice for you and never everrrr feel like you have to change it but we have got to stop feeling comfortable using postpartum women’s bodies as reasoning for not having kids. It’s not very kind and is a bit misogynistic

Pregnancy can change a woman’s body in ways people really underestimate. Weight gained during pregnancy isn’t all body fat. There’s the baby, placenta, amniotic fluid, increased blood volume, breast and uterine tissue, fluid retention and additional fat stores. Then postpartum, hormones, breastfeeding, sleep deprivation, reduced activity and increased appetite can all affect how much weight is retained and how quickly it comes off. Some women lose it quickly, while others can carry significant weight for years after birth. So seeing a woman who was previously fit and active become 100lbs heavier after pregnancy doesn’t mean her body simply stopped working or that she stopped caring about fitness. Pregnancy and motherhood can fundamentally change your physiology, routine and energy demands. The fact that she’s back in the gym working her way up again is genuinely impressive.

The comments have made me curious, anyone happen to know if they have done studies regarding pregnancy weight gain? I know the medical system hates doing studies for women, but I'm curious if this weight gain would be considered an outlier.

Aristotle was born in 384 BCE in Stagira, a small Greek town in northern Greece. His father, Nicomachus, served as a royal physician to the Macedonian king, which exposed Aristotle to science and medicine from an early age. At seventeen, he traveled to Athens and joined Plato’s Academy, where he studied philosophy for nearly twenty years. Although deeply influenced by Plato, Aristotle later developed his own ideas about logic, ethics, politics, biology, and metaphysics. After Plato’s death in 347 BCE, Aristotle left Athens and spent several years traveling and teaching. In 343 BCE, he was invited by King Philip II of Macedon to tutor his son, the future conqueror Alexander the Great. Aristotle educated Alexander in philosophy, literature, politics, and science, shaping the mind of one of history’s greatest military leaders. Later, Aristotle returned to Athens and founded his own school, the Lyceum. There, he wrote many influential works and encouraged observation, reasoning, and scientific inquiry. His teachings covered subjects ranging from astronomy and zoology to rhetoric and ethics. Aristotle believed knowledge should come from both logic and experience. After Alexander’s death, anti-Macedonian feelings rose in Athens, forcing Aristotle to leave the city. He moved to Chalcis on the island of Euboea, where he died in 322 BCE at the age of 62. His ideas shaped Western philosophy, science, and education for over two thousand years.
