flat socks might help. You can also get a ziplock with water in it, pop it in the show and throw em both in the freezer to stretch em out

i also wanted to be a ballerina. my dream role, was Clara/Marie, from the Nutcracker ballet. it never happened, because my parents couldn't afford for me to go to classes that would allow me to be in a production like that (my dance instructor only taught during school time, and our one recital was at the end of the school year. so no christmas recitals. it was great she was in our small town so girls with dreams of dancing could have a taste of it. she did ballet, gymnastics, jazz, tap, and hip hop, so you had choices and experimenting you could do. but still). any hopes for any other roles in ballet were dashed, when my instructor said i couldn't do pointe shoes, because of an issue with my feet and ankles. it was honestly heartbreaking. i still danced until i graduated high school, but i didn't go hardcore. it became just a hobby to occupy a day or two of my week, after school.
