It's the same actions but it's the intention behind the actions that makes them different

Yeah, because they're such a thing as covert narcissism that's why it's always a concept of nobody would believe you. It's such an isolating experience and at the end of the day this is one of the situations where knowing less and understanding less benefits you more people stay stock for months years because they understand the person in front of them. They understand their pain. They see the good person underneath it all, and they don't function the way that you do like a normative function would be that if you receive consistent safety that you would slowly move towards releasing the walls and the guards right because you would at least know that this person is safe, but with avoidance they conflict Love with threat and there's no gap in the thought process right it's an automatic nervous system response and in order to justify that in the situation where there's no validity to it right that's why they enter the state of almost delusion. Often people references as like flaw finding, but that's also delusional. There's not a flaw in. You're creating one. It's even harder when there's no flaws right that's when they can enter the delusional state about abandonment well this person's gonna leave me anyway so I'm just gonna go over here on the dating app. I'm gonna go over here and hang out and hook up with this person. That's why they keep like you know that's why their behavioral social media so problematic right narcissism is I need to feed my ego if there is an empty void and I need your validation and I need these escape routes right because if I depend on you, you have the ability to leave me or abandon me, but then that other part is the fact that they actually create that reality through self sabotage and I know again I know it's so hard to understand but because they don't self reflect this is why they have similar endings to relationships over and over again and I promise you they will play that tiny violin about how people love them but no that's that's actually not what happened they were lying. They were cheating. They were neglectful and mind you like. I don't know the level of avoidance that people are talking about. I'm talking about people and re

The point of this video was to say : just because you have been wrong by someone within avoidant attachment style, does not automatically mean that this person is a narcissist. We cannot just throw the term around loosely. SOME Avodiants fit the criteria for NPD , some do not . And wow, narcissistic people may do manipulative tactics, that does not mean that their core wound is fear of closeness or losing their autonomy

I supported all your views and videos and here I stopped. As actually avoidant abuse can be intentional, it’s even a book written about it by psychologist. The only difference- officially we can’t put a label on someone being a narcissist as it’s clinical diagnosis. But in most cases narcissist juts don’t go to professional psychotherapy as life good for them as it’s. So there’s too many of these folks around us without formal diagnosis. So my advice to look at actions, patterns and how person makes you feel emotionally and later physically.

Both are commonly rooted in extreme abandonment trauma and/or insecurities. Although with narcs, the chemical imbalance is usually so bad that even years of therapy won’t help

Problem is all the behaviors overlap so much and the only way you can really know what their intent is, is from them and they’ll never tell you because it’s likely they don’t even know what they feel… this because hard because covert narcs are not grandiose they’re very quiet. The biggest sign is usually stunning lack of empathy, avoidants supposedly are still capable of empathy.

honestly I struggle to see the difference..these people will hurt you and show no remorse whatsoever..now some will say the DA feels it internally..but how does that help the person that got hurt...am sorry I just dont see much difference between them

A person doesn't have to have narcissistic personality disorder to be high and narcissistic traits, and a lot of avoiding behavior, especially the self preservation behaviors or the behaviors day engaging when they're deactivated are very like self-centered they lack consideration and empathy for the impact on the other person they treat others differently than they treat you. They're able to function and do things for other people like the performative nature on the outside so even if they're not a narcissist if they if they're doing those things that's irrelevant. It's just as bad in fact you'd be better if they were a narcissist because if they were a narcissist, there's almost no chance that they could heal and you could feel good about walking away your worse off if they really just are a severe dismissive avoidant because often times people hold onto the whole right like we don't wanna give up yet. We want to give them the grace and the chance of the opportunity perhaps things that we would want from people, and this happens with secure individual because most partners of avoidance are not anxiously attached I think this really just highlight. The difference in character is not just attachment style right it's the method of self preservation. It's the way that they view a relationship if if they don't viewed us to become one they have a severe fear of involvement. You're never gonna have a healthy collaborative relationship with a person like that I mean, if they're not a narcissist and somehow I don't know lightning strikes and they see the mirror that's something hard. They don't don't wanna see that mirror and it's nothing can be different until they see the mirror.

That's not true that's not always the case.. and even if somebody doesn't have a narcissistic personality disorder, they can still have very high narcissistic traits and their behavior... so you can see this a lot when a person deactivate especially like when you've not done anything to them they lack empathy. They're very self-centered right they don't have consideration and they're just primarily focused on their survival and like reverse loyalty is a really big one with avoidance where they have a great performative outward persona and then you get like really like the cold shoulder and you don't get the celebration and you don't get the affection, but like everybody around them would never believe how neglectful and emotionally abusive they are towards you. They would never be able to imagine the kind of partner that they are towards you or like for example they might do nice things for somebody they barely know or like maybe have done nice things for you, which is kind of a form of love bombing even even though it's not over it right like these are all the things you kind of fell in love with like while this person is thoughtful or they're caring and they're considerate, but it's not genuine. It's not authentic right it is a form of love bombing it is a form of trying to build some type of closeness or intimacy, but it's not it's not real because it's not based on like that emotional component and covert narcissism and like what we might imagine as like a grand deal or traditional narcissist are also different, but but here's the thing at the end of the day if you are confused if he's a narcissist or she's a narcissist or an avoidant whatever is going on it's irrelevant because it's already at the point where it's not redeemable... people are usually not involved in these conversations or watching your content because they have a partner that needs 30 minutes to decompress or an hour to decompress or needs a day or two to decompress and communicate that like that's not the kind of like healed or redeemable avoidant that they're talking about if you removal labels, both of them operate from a point of self preservation, and the behavior is equally damaging e
