That’s incredibly sad. It could have been prevented. He was unloading his pot hauler. He tried to get out & the area where the tires are SUPPOSED to have traction, didn’t catch. It made it sink & start to go backwards. He tried to get out & jump from the truck & ended up falling into the pit. There are so many things that are out of regulation or just not working anymore at the Mill & they don’t give a damn. I hope the family sues the mill.

My dad works on one of the opposite sides of that same mill and said while they were taking his body to get it identified the mill was asking where the pot hauler was and when they told them what happend their response was “okay and? We have shit to do keep working”

His dad was killed a couple of years ago on a head on collision from a female drunk driver. They are a wonderful family

Im sure this place kept the mill running while his body was being dug out. This is your reminder to take that vacation and that time off. We shouldn’t have to work the majority of our lives and run the risk of dying any day on the way to and from or at work daily. And the company could care less as long as it’s out of the media as much as possible. Just to make another man rich. Hope the new generation wakes up to this failed system

The mill continued to run as coworkers dug his body up out of the pit..multiple safety concerns were brought up and ignored. SUE TF OUT OF THEM.

Im sure the mill and the union will make sure his family dont get anything for their loss either. They will somehow call it his negligence to cover their ass and not have to pay them...

Why is everyone surprised he had 6 kids? you do know multiples exist. You can have four kids and be pregnant one time. I don’t know his situation but if we’re gonna talk about anything, let’s talk about how sad it is that these 6 kids now don’t have a father. ☹️

My bf frequently works that plant. It’s scary how many accidents and near misses they have. My thoughts are with him and his family. Absolutely heartbreaking.
