@moneymoveswithheather: I started with the basics: → Checked my Social Security estimate → Tracked down an old 401(k) → Opened a Roth IRA None of this required me to suddenly become a financial expert. I just needed to stop avoiding it and start figuring it out.
My retirement plan is to work till 70 then pass away. I have no extra money to save never have never will. As a single parent I barely have any extra money

Full retirement age is now age and 67…thanks to Reagan. The Republicans are trying to move it to age 70. #VOTE accordingly.

Love and really appreciate this kind of content!!!! ❤️. I timed my mortgage and 15 year renovation loan both so it’ll be paid off when I retire, plus just bought a car with a 401k loan and am saving now to time paying cash for a new one right when I retire so hopefully both the house and next car will last me through the actual retirement with zero payments/upgrades needed. …. Getting those bills down by retirement is just as important as saving for it! Now I’m tossing around adding solar and when to ditch the electric bill by then too.

If I could get insurance for me only I would do it at 60 with widows benefits, even for a year . it makes me angry that they will receive the money that my late has been worked for all those years and I want to collect some of it if I can, but health insurance makes it hard.
