Why does the media keep referring to him as the “youngest Black professor”? Do we routinely describe academics as the “youngest white professor” or the “oldest white professor”? He was a professor. His race shouldn’t have to be attached to his title every time his achievements are mentioned. If we genuinely want equality, the same standard should apply to everyone.
