I love the Amtrak! The views are beautiful, and they’re much more comfortable than an airplane seat - IMO. If people have the time to take the Amtrak, I always recommend it

I went on the Amtrak to Denver from Albuquerque which was a train/bus ride and I remember being delayed for the bus halfway through because it had no working AC and they were about to have us stranded for another 8 hours in a really small town in northern NM till another bus arrived but me and the other passengers said we were okay with having no AC so the delay wasn't as bad but it was a unique experience and I got to talk to a lot of unique people as a result of that

I rode from SLC to SF last year, it was an overnight trip for half of it and I wish I’d booked a cabin instead of coach lol. But it was fun going over the Sierras into the Central Valley!

Watching this reminded me of my first trip on Amtrak I booked only a seat not a room. I was in the observation room making a phone call and just relaxing. I got tired and went back to my seat. My neighbor decided to lay down on my seat and fall asleep. I shook her gently and ask her to move over. She stayed there. I kept tapping her. Nothing. I didn’t want to wake others. I went back to the observation room and drifted in and out of sleep with a man the corner who was talking to himself. Never booked Amtrak again. But next time I’m getting a room.
