I would have drove off . I had a situation like this that happen years ago and a fire Marshall said I did a California stop at a stop sign and I didn't and he chased me for 12 miles with my wife and kids in the car ,no lights no sirens no possible way of me knowing who or what he was chasing me for I guess he radio ahead to have a deputy to stop me which he did and I stopped and explained to him that a crazy person was following me for 12 miles and I was hauling azz to get away from them and the cop said he had no authority to do that and let me go
