"Sura al- Isra 17:15: And we never punish untill we have sent a messenger". because the parents of the prophet( saw) lived durinf Al- Fatrah the interim period in wich there was no living prophet or active divine revelation, they hax no access to the right guidance. It was precisely because of thid spiritual void and the universal straying of humanity at that time, that sending a new messenger( Muhammed saw) was necessary to reveal the truth once again anx not following Abraham or Christians. According to this verse Allah cannot punish them because the message had not yet reached them during there lifetime. You dont know just because its SAHIH?? this is the reason many muslims starting to doubt the hadiths

The reason is because they died before the prophets revelation. The same applies to people who died without ever learning about Islam. if you die ignorant you go to hell, regardless of circumstances. It is in my opinion the biggest difference with christianity, there you can still go to heaven, even if you have never heard about christ. for instance by going through purgatory.

Were the parents of the prophet alive when he had the revelation? Wouldn't it be unfair since they didn't get the full message as the Quran did not completely finish before they died (I'm assuming unless they lived long)
