A year and a half ago, I told my dad I was going to focus entirely on water polo for a month. I was playing for an amateur club at the time, and I was so focused that I ended up concentrating on it for much longer than just a month. Then I was asked to attend a school that would allow me to combine my studies with the sport—I said yes to that. After that, a professional team asked me to join, and I said yes again; I even came very close to making the national team, though I hadn't trained quite hard enough. I told my dad, "I failed," but he said, "Son, you have to see this as a victory. You achieved all of this in just a year and a half; you should be proud." Then I heard I was getting another chance this year. I’m going to give it my absolute best, and this time I hope I won't fail. It’s for the under-18 team, and since I’m 14, I realized I’m one of the most talented boys in the country. I told myself, "I’m just going to do this"—all of this in a year and a half. I want to thank God and my dad for that. and for younger kids don’t give up focus on your self.
