Any guesses on our plan to move the grass off the shoreline?? Until we can find a better solution we've accepted the grass will just be there but if we can get it to deeper waters it wont impede fishing as much and it will be less damaging to the aquatic life since it wont be able to completely deplete the area of sunlight/ oxygen. The shallow waters also seem to be where a lot of the spawning happens from what we've seen (which was actually VERY cool!) as well as where a lot of the smaller aquatic life hangs out. Looking back on the first videos of the park honestly blew my mind, i forget the grass was that bad! When we first toured the park, i actually though the grass area was some kind of marsh land, thats how think the 'grass carpet' was! Any suggestions? We do have the permits to treat it with approved treatments butttt it doesn't seem like those treatments ever fully eliminate the grass from what we've seen and heard so our next hope is that we can use the dock thats furthest out as some kind of barrier and create a way for the grass to just naturally accumulate in one concentrated area a little further off from our main shoreline! The grass floats and actually moves around depending on wind current, which lucky for us, always pushes it into our little cove (yay! Love that Haha anyways, if we can find a way to work with the grass who knows, maybe the natural water currents will return, the fish life will improve and our shoreline will look prettier lol! Disclaimer: I'm not a biologist so nothing in this video is fact and shouldn't be taken as such, please do your own research. HUGE thanks to @onwaterfish for their info on Juniper Lake they had, l'll link the specific text in my story! Additionally, any permits we believe are required to manage the grass, improve docks, etc have been obtained! If you have any questions, feel free to DM me! #remodel #renovation #renovationproject #realestate #DIY
