True story, in 1995 I had to do morning portables in the ICU and one of them was chest decubs on an elderly vented patient. I got one done, and when we rolled her to do the second she coded, and ended up passing away right then and there. I was traumatized for a long time after that. I was only 24 at the time and 8.5 months pregnant.

Trust me, all us rad techs hate making patients uncomfortable. Especially on those bony, kyphotic patients where their spine is holding their body weight on the board.
