I’m nearby and don’t understand. Is this because you don’t pay for trash pick up and it is managed by the city so you have to use special bags? I see them out but never understand. And no cans? That would drive me WILD.

Binghamton isn’t the only place who has the bags …some are purple… red … green … blue … yellow…. They are from the make in the south & shipped all over …when I ordered for my store I used to get the wrong ones …many states have them

you should do a neighborhood stand off, put out regular bags and leave them there! I think its stupid y'all have to pay for those stupid bags! you should have the option to hire a service or pay it quarterly!

They have been doing blue bags for a long time. They did it so they don't raise our taxes which are already high. The more garbage you produce, the more you will inevitably pay. I'm fine with that. I just wish the bags were better quality

I moved out of the area and have to pay for garbage service. It’s so much more expensive than the blue bags.

The original idea, which probably over 20 years ago was to promote recycling. The city does not want you to buy bags .
