Baguette only makes you « tired » if you eat it without side. Eat it with butter, ham, pickles, cheese, salad, green beans, tomatoes, … and you’re good. You need carbs in your diet. Just not pure carbs and not too much fast carbs.

You should also try baguettes from different bakeries—some are far superior. And make sure to find ones fresh out of the oven, still warm: they’re absolutely irresistible
