@johartery: Virgin Atlantic credit card… worth it or just another way to get into debt? 👀 Let’s talk about it. You absolutely do not need a credit card to collect Virgin Points - we’ve already covered plenty of ways to earn them without one. However… if you have regular spending and can pay your balance off in full, a Virgin Atlantic credit card can be another tool in your points strategy. For us, the key is simple: 💳 Spend what we would have spent anyway ✈️ Collect the points 🎟️ Work towards the Companion Reward 💰 Pay the balance off in full Real life example: I took ALL my household bills off direct debits - there is zero incentive to pay them monthly - that £3k council tax bill can be earning you points!! Electricity/ Gas too - we swapped to Octopus energy with the 5000 point swap incentive - then reduced the dd to £1 and pay the rest on the card - I will caveat that you MUST THEN PAY THAT STRAIGHT OFF! The aim isn’t to collect debt for a comfy seat 😂 - it’s to make the spending we’re already doing work a little harder for us.
