@auravaleapp: I loveeee finding the coolest plants on my hikes and walks and learning all about them! TIL Dogrose was boiled into syrup to give British children vitamin C when oranges vanished in WWII. Fresh citrus fruits virtually disappeared from British shops because German submarines were sinking merchant ships, forcing the government to ban or heavily restrict food imports to save cargo space for weapons and fuel. It fascinates me to no end to learn about plants and their histories, because they’ve been around far longer than we have! If this interests you follow along!💚
