This was my mom last year that I gave birth to, she cook , clean my whole house, wash my clothes , baby’s and my husband’s mind you I have a washing machine but she doesn’t like using it and I told her not to wash my husband clothes . She stayed for 2 months . mine overdid , so I’m telling you it’s not overhyped just your experience

So sorry for the experience you had. I cried like a baby when my mum left because the only work I do is to breast feed my baby and make his food when necessary. She bath and help me sort out a lot including going to the marke. God bless every good mother out there 🙏🥰

But to tell you the truth ,when my mom came to omugo,I did not allow her to do any other thing aside taking care of my baby. My reasons is that I want her to rest well before going back to the village cos she has suffered .

Prepare yourself before marriage, make money so you can employ a help for the period of omugwo, sometimes that omugwo is the only time your mom could rest, as work too much for omugwo, employ help

I think omugwo is a way of taking care of our mothers for all their cares during our own birth and all that. if U are strong enough to do Ur things, her work is to carry her grandchild and be playing with him, so no reason am biko
