That can't be the reason of piston overheating..... Over heating it's caused by boiling water over 120 Celsius (overheating) probably caused by leakage or a faulty Radiator, leakage, faulty fan, water pump etc.... Oil blockage causes crackshaft bearings to seiz then friction occurs hence leading to knock(Engine failures starting from the Crankshaft case to the piston block/sleeve

it just doesn't make sense though even if it fell in the oil pan it goes through your oil pump and then it goes to your oil filter that filters down to let's say 5 microns or whatever so how would it get to that other spot I want to know that answer

that wasn't the reason that piston went down), there's many motors in which people block off those oil squirters ports in favor for extra oil pressure , and engines run fine even with double the factory power per cyl..

I'd rather use a gasket. Some places in the engines I've built have no gaskets so rtv is required but I'd rather not take a chance no matter how remote.
