We had my mom cremated, my friend built her a beautiful urn with woodburned details on it for free, the cremation was $1400 in Canada, and we got the canadian death benefit of $2500 which we put towards a celebration of life. My mom was fkn wild but still a good mother and everyone loved her. She liked to drink alot and fight alot but she always put her kids first. Yeah we saw alot of crazy sht but we were always loved.

My mom recently passed and there was only 10,000 in the life insurance and the funeral home had the audacity to take four grand just to cremate her. Didn’t let us view her. Didn’t prepare the body. Didn’t give us an urn. Just burned her and put her in a box for four grand….
