That’s why someone can read every article about “looking confident,” fix their posture, make better eye contact, shake hands correctly — and still give people the feeling that something is off. Because your internal state eventually bleeds into your external behavior. Hughes explains that we’re constantly manufacturing gut feelings in other people, whether we realize it or not. And those feelings can be influenced by five areas of our lives: Environment. Time. Appearance. Social life. Finances.
