The parent of the girl has been exaggerated and old people seeing a cute child will just touch the head of the kid. The father, being so protective , attacked the elderly man with violence which is not necessarily. Why over reacted like this? Are young people nowsaday are so rude and violence?

Some comments using our MP for example, the thing is we all know our MP but we don’t know this elderly man. Is a stranger. Yes, the father should not have body contact with the elderly man but most importantly pls remind the elderly in your family don’t anyhow touch other’s people children or pets.

I’m Singaporean, and I’ve always felt that an elderly person patting a child on the head is simply a gesture of affection. My children have experienced similar situations before, and I never minded it. Perhaps we have been moving too fast as a society, and I feel that our sense of graciousness, empathy, and human warmth is slowly being diluted. I genuinely feel sorry for the uncle for being treated this way.
