@fisherzhangs_in_china: This local swimming pool in Fuxin feels like the perfect example of small-city China. Nothing flashy, not overcrowded, and it doesn’t cost a fortune — it simply does the job. And for me, that’s more than enough. Seeing my kids having fun while learning a skill that could genuinely save their lives one day makes every trip here worthwhile. ❤️🏊♂️🇨🇳
Children are taught to swim in primary school as part of the curriculum in England.

That’s seems very expensive for China, you’d be paying around the same amount for 10 classes in Melbourne, Australia

Wow, that is ridiculously expensive. Way cheaper in California. Also too many students per instructor.

I’ve been watching your videos which are very good. Maybe I haven’t seen your video on how you survive. Do you work in China even though you’re from England! My mom was born in Liverpool. Thank you!

Floatie backpacks aren’t too good for learning, as they teach you to float from an unnatural position. It’s best if you get something from the chest, as that naturally replicates where you float from

I personally started learning to swim at age 2... but as a swim teacher, I currently teach tiny humans as little as 8 weeks old right up to adults.

In Greece,I learned how to swim around 5 years old. It was at the sea. First my dad had it easy on me and then suddenly left me alone in deeper water and well, survival mode was on. But was effective, plus I love water now.

in Germany usually kids start learning at age 9 because of school but I have seen ages ranging from 4-6 already swimming very well. I started when I was 4 and stopped going to the pool after I was 7. After that I basically just left it that way until very recently and I got my medal.

Here in Australia we learn to swim at a very early age, babies onwards. Our lifestyles include a lot of outdoors activities, beaches & swimming pools. So learning to swim at early age is necessary for safety
