In her hand was a kitchen knife. Lisa froze. Jennie tapped the window with the knife handle. Lisa lowered it. BamBam and Blue.” “Blue? The tall one who brought you coffee?” Lisa stared, “You remember him?” “I remember everyone who looks at my wife for more than three seconds.” “That’s unreasonable.” “I have excellent eyesight.” “You’re terrifying.” “I know.” Lisa smiled and reached through the window, “I love you.” Jennie softened, “Good.” “Good?” “I don’t want anyone getting confused about whether you’re available.” “My wedding ring is enough.” “Apparently not.” Jennie walked away as Lisa started the car. Then Jennie turned, “Lisa.” The car stopped immediately, “Yes?” “I love you.” “I love you too.” Jennie smiled sweetly and raised the knife, “Remember that.” Lisa swallowed. “Keep the ring on.” “I will.” “Everywhere.” “Will never forget it.” “Even when you sleep.” “Jennie.” “I’m kidding,” A pause, “Mostly.” Lisa sighed, “You really are insane.” “And you’re still married to me.” “That might be the strongest evidence supporting your argument.” Jennie laughed, “Have a good day, honey.” “You too, babe.” Lisa rolled up the window but she noticed Jennie’s cold expression had returned. Lisa sighed, turned off the engine, and stepped out. “You forgot something?” Jennie asked. “Yes.” “What?” “You.” Jennie blinked, “What?” “You’re still upset.” “I’m not.” “You’re glaring.” “I have feline eyes.” “That’s not an excuse.” Jennie looked away. Lisa smiled, “Jennie.” Silence. “Babe.” Nothing. “Love.” Jennie finally looked at her, “What?” Lisa leaned forward and kissed her as Jennie froze. The knife lowered and her cold expression disappeared. Lisa pulled back, “There. Problem solved.” Jennie tried to stay serious, “Maybe.” Lisa smiled, “Forgetting my ring?” “No.” “Being late?” “No.” “Mentioning Blue?” Jennie paused, “Yes.” Lisa laughed, “I knew it.” “He brought you coffee.” “He brought everyone coffee.” “He smiled at you.” “People smile.” “Not at you.” “You’re jealous of smiling now?” “Yes.” Lisa shook her head, “You’re unbelievable.” Jennie stepped closer, “Then stop making me jealous.” “I’ll try.” “Try harder.” Lisa smiled, “Okay.” “Now go to work.” Lisa turned toward the Ferrari, then looked back, “Do I get another kiss?” Jennie smiled, “You’re the one who started it.” “I was hoping you’d continue.” “Go.” Lisa laughed, “Yes, ma’am.” She drove away but her phone immediately vibrated. “Wife ❤️: Drive safely.” Another message followed. “Wife ❤️: I love you more.” Lisa smiled.
