1 nobody down play aang stopping 100 years war the most that actually happened is people doesn't think ozai is as powerful as the narrative want him to be 2 the villain comparison is dump people said korra villain is stronger and more dangerous than most aang villain and the fact that you have to use yakon is proving it because besides from ozai in atla other than him aang opponent is not all that mean while weakest korra villain can take down country also aang is not effortlessly resist blood bending with his avatar stage his avatar stage save his ahh and he didn't even get blood bend by surprise the first time maybe but the second time it literally a direct fight no sneaking no off guard 3 korra decision making is not good but it not bad either and your example of situation is just lies no a single one of them warn her they just have concerning her father didn't even directly tell that's he disapproved her decision only that he want her to think about it some more and not long after that even tonraq is starting to trust unalaq himself keep in mind that her father and the white lotus is keeping her away from every thing just training her for her whole life and at a time unalaq is the only person who knows spirit bending and knows how to be leader and other things that avatar need to have she have reason to decide like that 4 even though i want it to be true but other sours said that aang didn't die so we gonna stick to that back to korra her losing the avatar is not entirely her fault before unalaq come in and disrupt her she can handle vaatu and almost successfully sealed him but because unalaq disrupted and him fusion with vaatu making him the avatar level any avatar would loss that fight and nobody knows they can just ripped rava right out and after anyone could do anything 5 how fast they learn have nothing to do with this if you want to bring that in why don't you mention that she can bend 3 elements since 4 only reason she can learn air as fast is because she didn't have anyone to teach her that tenzin is the only air bender master in the world is in republic city also aang has 2 prodigy to teach him and he get to learn from the original bender

1. aang stopping the 100 year war is not downplayed its put into perspective, he wasn't alone doing it, he had some of the best and smartest people helping him. what is downplayed is how you describe amon who was able to do what no one except an avatar could, take someones bending. 2. aang did handle yakone but dont act like ended there. aang underestimated yakone and that is what lead to amon, so korras first villain is one of aangs mistakes. 3. no one ever told korra not to trust unalaq, her trust in him came from tenzin and her father keeping secrets from her and having no clue how to deal with the spirit problem. unalaq showed that he was able to deal with the spirits and left korra to make her own decisions, this is how he manipulated her. 4. aang died and someone else had to save him, he kept the past lives out of plot contrivance and suffered no real consequences as always. korra fought against the equivalence of another avatar and had rava forcefully ripped out of her. she did not do any of this willingly and i would love to get into how its a rape allegory but yall don't have enough media literacy for that. 5. korra was locked away all her life under the order of people she loved, air is the element of freedom, how could she unlock it if she never had freedom in the first place. 6. korra has show that she became one of the most spiritually inclined avatars, without rava she was able to manifest her own spirit to fight vatuu. 7. aangs messes were usually fixed by the people around him and he never really carried any burdens because they were fixed for him. korra had to deal with her burdens because she wasn't bailed out by plot. 8. aang didn't find a solution to not wanting to kill the fire lord, he was given one for the sake of plot. korra learned to be diplomatic and try to appease both sides with what she thought was best, she only turned to violence when people showed they weren't willing to listen. 9. she left the spirt portals open because spirits and humans being separate started the problem in season 2. and after some time the people in republic city learned to live together with the spirits like she thought. 10. aang wasn't loved everywhere

I don’t know why Korra fans sometimes argue like they don’t even know what they’re saying to me 😭. Their comparisons don’t always make sense. Maybe most of them didn’t actually watch the show properly, or they just want to be able to say something to defend her. At least when you’re arguing, you need to be true to yourself. I’m in the comments seeing someone call being dead and fainting the same thing LMFAO 🤣. I don’t hate Korra, but I won’t agree that she’s the best Avatar or that she’s better than Aang. Kuruk did more useful things than Korra, to be frank. 😭

1 Korra didn’t have a peaceful era tho, it was peaceful on the surface, not underneath tho 2 Korra broke out of a stronger blood benders grip w sheer force n will power. Aang needed avatar state 3 yes Korra made a bad decision, but she was also desperate for knowledge that she did need that no one else could teach her at the time 4 aang died twice, 1 time he stated he died n creators also said it, it’s pure plot convenience that he didn’t end the cycle😭n then we say Korra got outplayed, like she didn’t pretty much deal vatuu before unalaqu (however u spell his name) shot her in the back, then had raava forcibly ripped out of her by vatuu😭all bc her team couldn’t hold him off. That’s far form on Korra 5 factually wrong. Aang had only mastered air bending by the end of the show. Wasn’t till in the comics he mastered water n earth fully. N later again for fire. Korra by 3 was confidentially using 3 elements. She also didn’t have the time pressure of having to learn so ye she’s gonna take longer but by eos she had far better mastery overall than aang did 6 i mean ye, aang was definitely more spiritual csnt rly argue there 😭7 had no knowledge of how to undo it, aang did. Didn’t we just praise aang for using the past avatars help, now we’re flaming korra for it? Also korra lived w many of her mistakes n fixed them 8 how tf does restrain make her a worse avatar?😭 like ye Korra gets hot headed, that’s part of her character. But 0 tactical thinking is just far from the truth lmao 9 republic city didn’t unite every1 tho. And leaving spirit portals open restored the air nation, it was also to build better relations between humans n spirits. Aangs legacy is obviously going to be better, but again 1 that doesn’t mean he’s a better avatar 2 acting like Korra doesn’t also have a great legacy. Actually trying to unite benders and non benders properly, unlike aang, restored the air nation, stopped the earth kingdoms revolution (which aang caused)😭 both are top tier avatars w their pros n cons lmao
