I made a tiny snow globe... on a COOKIE! ✨Recipe: Ingredients: Cookie Dough: • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened • ½ cup granulated sugar • 2 egg whites, room temperature • 1 cup all-purpose flour • ½ tsp salt • 2 tbsp cornstarch • 1 tsp baking soda • 1 tsp cinnamon • ¼ tsp cream of tartar Frosting: • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened • 2 cups powdered sugar • 2 tbsp heavy cream • Small drop light blue food coloring (optional) Isomalt Dome: • Isomalt, melted • Half-sphere silicone molds Directions: 1. In a small saucepan, melt the isomalt until fully liquified and bubbling. Carefully pour it into a half-sphere mold, rotating the mold so the sides are evenly coated. Flip the mold upside down over the pot to drain excess, then let the dome cool and harden. 2. In a medium bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Then, add the egg whites and beat until smooth and glossy. 3. Add the salt, cinnamon, baking soda, and cream of tartar, then gradually mix in the flour and cornstarch until a soft dough forms. 4. Scoop the dough into large balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading. 5. Bake at 300°F for 10–15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are just slightly underdone. Let the cookies cool completely. 6. While the cookies cool, make the frosting by beating the softened butter until creamy. Slowly add powdered sugar, then heavy cream, and whip until light and fluffy. Tint light blue if desired. 7. Pipe or spread a thick swirl of frosting on each cooled cookie, dust with powdered sugar “snow,” and arrange tiny holiday decorations to build your winter scene. 8. Gently place the isomalt dome over each frosted cookie to complete your snow globe. Serve immediately and enjoy! Just try not to shake this snow globe too hard! ❄️🍪
